Essence of Christmas

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ. A time for us to understand the lessons from Jesus and reflect on them. Jesus brought a new religion based on love and the vision of a God who is full of compassion and forgiveness; a vision of doing everything with a positive mindset and from a place of love.
We are in that special season once again, a season of joy, of peace, of great tidings. A season when we celebrate the birth of Christ the King, the redeemer of mankind! Jesus is the reason for the season.
Christmas is a time to renew bonds of love. It's a wonderful time when loved ones can show appreciation for each other. It's also a great time to use that love to build bridges of understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness. Christmas is best enjoyed when it isn't centered on decorations, gifts, or festivities, but when love is at its core. Love is the essence of Christmas. Christmas should mean taking quality time with your family and friends. It's about cherishing and celebrating the love you share.
Every day is like Christmas for us because Jesus is so good to us every day, but this time is extra special because He pours out His love in extra measure. We feel His love from loved ones, acquaintances, and even strangers. There's just something about Jesus' birthday that turns people's hearts and minds to peace and love and goodwill. It brings out the best in everyone because it brings Jesus out, and He's the best!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! J

Climate Change

Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years.
It may be a change in average weather conditions, or in the distribution of weather around the average conditions. Climate change is caused by factors such as biotic processes, variation in solar radiation receive by earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions. Certain human activities have also been identified as significant causes of recent climate change, often referred to as "Global Warming".

Climate change is a change in ther statistical properties of the climate system when considered over long periods of time, regardless of cause. it is a global problem. The impact of it is tremendous risk to the security and well-being of our country. Global climate change has already had observable effect on the environment.

We are the reasons why we are encountering lots of troubles or always give us problems. It is a terrible problem, and it absolutely needs to be solved.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity ^^

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity

Genuine equality between men and women, girls and boys can only be realized in the process of a just, fair and human transformation of our society as a whole. There is need to educate ourselves and others to take a more correct view of women and to actively redress the injustices done to women in all our institution. Women must not be treated as mere passive participants in national development. But they must enjoy fundamental rights and freedoms benefiting all human beings, both in domestic and public life. Women need to be treated justly in families, public life and the church. Re-emphasizes that equal rights and opportunities lead to improve that health outcomes for women and girls. Discrimination towards women and girls, or what is known is gender –based discrimination, is one of the most pervasive human rights violations. It severely limits the ability of women, girls and the communities they live in to protect and promote their health.

Going Global Through English Language!

Going Global Through English Language

As our universal language, English has a very important role in this world. Speak English, the universal language break the barriers in the world. English has also become the dominant language in politics. Which makes sense, as the ability to communicate clearly with people from around the world takes on extreme importance in that particular field.

As global communication expands throughout the world, so does the need for a global language. A language that is recognized and understood by people everywhere. In many parts of the world that language has been established, English. It would make communication across cultures much easier. The spread of English is both cause and resulting of globalization.

It helps the people in different nations to understand each other. So let’s break these barriers and cooperate to each other towards a peaceful world.

My Reflection ^_^

Do you see me now as I am? Well, for the computer class, I’ve been happier and spent a lot of enjoyment. I’ve learn about the Basic HTML Tags which is the most important tags, about the HTML, the W3C whose the one making the web standards, HTML Editors, the Notepad (Microsoft Windows) and the Simple Text (Macintosh), Stand Alone Tags and the Container Tags are the 2 Kinds of Tags. And using the Notepad in making our activities.

The problem is in the computer we use. It sticks sometimes and we cannot do our work and activities well especially when we really need to finished it. Sometimes, this also makes us angry. ^^

We don’t need to rush things. If something’s bound to happen, it will happen, in the right time and with the best reason. Being patient, because it is not about how long I wait. It’s about how I behave while waiting.

There are things that we don’t want to happen but have to accept. I will do my very best, if I can and I will exert more efforts.

My Teachers… My Heroes!!!

My Teachers… My Heroes!!!

Considered as our second parents, our teachers are also our heroes.

They say that education is the key to success. Education is introduced to us by our teachers. They contributed a lot to us through their sacrifices and efforts in teaching us. They help us to develop our skills, potentials and attitudes to become a good individual. Our discipline, knowledge and determination are being enhanced in school. Teachers make the lessons easier, exciting and enjoyable so that we, the students, would be interested enough to learn and study.

Thanks to our teachers for they are our guide in our way towards our goals. Thanks also to them for being our heroes.

Science Month Celebration^^

Science Month Celebration

Every time or as years passes by, Science creates theme for its celebration. Like now, the theme for the celebration of Science Month is “Unravel the causes. Build the solution. Empower the Science Clubbers to action”.

Many activities and programs were held like the Kalikasan Pageant, Trashionshow, Sci Quiz and many more. In these activities, it helps also to enhance our skills as students. Using the 3R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) helps to cut down on the amount of waste we throw away. They conserve natural resources, landfill space and energy. Recycling is an excellent way of saving energy and conserving the environment.

Science is important in everyday life is it gives us the ability to use technology. Science is all over us whether we realize it or not. Our bodies are science. Science is important because it helps us to learn and advance. Aims to make the youth become aware of the truth behind the natural disasters and to empower science clubbers by informing them of the common natural disasters, how they are formed and what can be done to mitigate these disasters. High school science club affiliates which is geared towards the promotion of public understanding of science, technology, and the environment.

Proudly PINOY!

The Filipino language is the language of the islands of the Philippines. It serves as an instrument to every Filipinos from different provinces that has its own culture and traditions differing understood. Here we reflected our history that every word we mention or speak warms our sense of nationalism. Also because this language strengthened the sense of nationalism among Filipinos. Although neither strong it is, it also fight regionalism- served as barriers to becoming a nation we are. Therefore, this instrument Filipino Language we having the mentality of being "a people".

We see his important role in the development of our country because here we understand the main aspects to the development of the country. No development country without strong language. The language reflects our freedom. If no language, no freedom as well as if there is no freedom, we will continue bound in the chains of poverty. The Filipino language is ours, and for us only. By doing this, we understand our needs and unnecessary. This bridge not only in understanding each island but the development of the city. Poverty is suppressed only if we understand this and are in the condition and no other instrument to do this but the use of language FILIPINO.

My Reflection

This grading period, sometimes I felt nothing. Because there are only few days that we met our teacher. We can't discuss our lesson well because she is busy sometimes. She has many responsibilities to do. Still, there's a lessons and advantages that I have learned. Internet, is a million of interconnected computer that shows information an communicate through the use of satellite, phone lines and fiber optic cables to transfer data back and forth. The major components which are the web browser and web server and their differences. 1960-1957's, Sputnik launch. In 1994, Philippines connects to the internet. I also learn and knows about Blog and also its types.

In our daily life, there's always a problem to encounter. This grading period makes me feel like nothing. We haven't enough time to meet our teacher. The other lessons that we should learn and understand more had not taken so all we need is to copy and write. One problem, sometimes our work station steaks. And my big problem is when there is another blog again to do, I always asks myself on how will I start and begin it.
Because in this kind of writings, I have a weakness in making this such things. This challenges me so much. All I should do is to acquaint myself in doing and writing this.

Moving On..... I will do my best to the next grading period. No matter what blog could be, I will do well and good. And no matter what problem it is, life goes on. I won't give up. :)

PNOY: SONA for Success!

All of us Filpinos wish to feel the warmth of success. PNOY delivered again his another SONA or State of the Nation Address that can be a way to get what we are wishing. It is common that every SONA, president always make promises. "Promises are the uniquely human way of ordering the future, making it predictable and reliable to the extent that is humanly possible.

SONA.... This year were focused on the achievements of the government on his term such as approval of the Sin Tax Reform Law and "Responsible Parenthood Law"
(RH Law), Reforms in Education System (K-12), Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), Increase in number of  Tesda Graduates, Increase in Philhealth Enrolles from 62% to 81% and improved benefits, Allocation of P6.2 billion for flood control in Metro Manila, Completion of 9, 377 housing units for typhoon Sendong victims, 63% Reduction in number of Private Armed Groups, 21.4 increase in foreign tourist arrivals in 2012 and 7.8 % GDP (Gross Domestic Product).

However, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth for 2012 and various economic reform programs of Aquino government for his three years in the palace, Philippines is still has the worst unemployment rate in Asia. More than 11 million Filipinos are jobless according to SWS and IBON Foundation survey results on the first quarter of 2013.
I salute PNOY. We all know that there are problems abound in the government and those problems are taking their toll on our society. The problems will be there always unless if we'll take the initiative to solve them, even in our humble way. I hope PNOY will be able to deliver to his promises.

Letter to the President

Ilocos Sur National High School,
Heritage City of Vigan, Ilocos Sur
June 26,2013

Dear Mr. President,

Greeting!

President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III or famously known as “Noynoy” has been a president for almost three years. In this three years, Filipinos all over the world can’t resist to ask questions on how he leads our country, the Philippines.

In some other parts of our country, many places are in the remote areas that have no permanent classrooms because of the place where they live. Because of that I write this letter to request more and continue the project of building a classrooms so that they can learn.

Whenever there were typhoons or rain will enter to our country, they can easily go to the nearest school and they can't suffer in crossing the rivers for sacrificing only having a knowledge to learn.

Even though they have no comfortable place to learn, they sacrifice and pushes their selves to go even if they can't concentrate well.

It's because they want to learn and achieve their goals or dreams to become successful. Because they think that poverty is not the obstacle or hindrance for learning.
In the way of writing, I think that even only in a little and simple way, I can help them.

To God be the Glory!

Respectfully yours,

Armina Joy Manigbas
